In
1947, Carl and Julia Carlson forever changed the horizon of
the Fastening and Packaging industries. With nothing more
than a $350 cash investment, a used file cabinet, and their
own enthusiasm, Carlson Stapler and Supply was born.
Over 60 years after those humble beginnings, the former
Carlson Stapler and Supply has grown into a corporation employing
over 500 people. Though the name has been simplified to Carlson
Systems, LLC, the familiar "CSS" logo has been retained to
symbolize Carlson Systems' strategy of providing service and
support to our customers.
Focusing
on fastening, packaging and product assembly systems, our
offices and warehouses serve thousands of customers. A network
of problem solvers, we provide ideas and solutions in both
the products we sell and the methods we advocate. We assist
businesses to produce better products and improve productivity,
as well as help them automate production and packaging lines.
With locations
throughout an area primarily west of the Mississippi, our
people and products are always close to our customers. All
of our locations are networked together, allowing us to find
whatever product a customer may desire. As a pioneering company
and industry leader, we handle the premier product lines in
fastening, packaging and materials handling--offering our
customers the highest quality, supported by our network of
repair service departments.
Carlson
Systems, LLC is part of Carlson
Holdings, Inc., along with three other companies:
Advanced Connector Systems, LLC, Carlson Systems Engineering,
LLC and Mid-Atlantic Fasteners, LLC.
The Carlson
Systems Engineering, LLC division has operations in
Omaha,
Nebraska and Twinsburg,
Ohio, and has designed and built hundreds of product assembly
machines. The Omaha operations focus on wood-to-wood assembly
systems, for industries like the manufactured housing industry,
millwood industries, and other product assembly manufacturers.
The Twinsburg operations were formerly known as Carlson Wegoma
after its acquisition in 2003, but are now incorporated into
the Carlson Systems Engineering division. They are primarily
a manufacturer and supplier of fabrication machinery and automated
systems for the vinyl and aluminum window & door manufacturing
industry. The Twinsburg operation has been a recognized market
leader in the North American fenestration industry for more
than twenty years.
Mid-Atlantic
Fasteners, acquired in May of 2006, started out of a garage
in Baltimore just after World War II as a Duo-Fast distributor.
Today they offer the leading brands in the construction industry
and serve their customers at over twenty locations on the
east coast, mostly in the Mid-Atlantic region. Focusing on
product assembly systems including nailers, staplers, fasteners
and accessories, they serve the needs of industrial and construction
customers. They also offer industry-leading installation and
repair in each of their locations.
Carlson
Systems, LLC is an extremely diversified company that offers
the highest quality in both service and supplies. From that
initial location in 1947, Carlson Systems, LLC has grown exponentially.
And with a solid force of over 500 employees in twenty western
states, we are set to continue growing to serve our customers
better.
